In the midst of my art block I've actually found that stepping away from my usual style is a great way to keep creativity flowing, even if it's not how you'd normally portray something. I was kind of surprised by the positive reaction from the last drawing, so here's one more I made today of Katniss & Prim.
Don't worry... I'll be back to the normal stuff soon I hope! This is just to pass the art block and is probably the last sketch of this type I'll be posting here. Again, please feel free to crit I could use the advice whilst I'm stuck in a rut.
I find it really amazing how artists with a minimalistic style can break down a scene and a bunch of emotions into just a few sweeping strokes. Everything has to matter and mean something, it's not like you can jam in all these tiny details. And I think that's what makes it so amazing.
the line work is FANTASTIC!!! it really does convey emotion well, especially with those two on a side note, I hope you get out of your art block..art blocks suck
