I saw Spiderman today! It was awesome. Not to mention I now have a huge thing for Andrew Garfield lmao.
Guess what, I tripped up on the stairs in the cinema after having to go to the bathroom, and I was dashing cos I didn't want to miss any screentime he had so I could squeal over his gorgeous face with my friends, and then was going a bit too fast and fell flat on my face. I managed to bash my knee on a step too, so now it's all swollen, whoopee :/

ANYWAY, just a sketch of Merida after seeing the Brave trailer in the cinema. It doesn't come out here in England till mid-August, which is a total bummer, but when it does I can't wait to see it! The animation looks fantastic.

I'll have to sit down and do a proper painting of her so I can get all that hair detail in, since I did this pretty quickly. I need more practice drawing her, I'm sure I'll get the hang of it eventually. Can you tell I like sparkles and warm colours lol

So I see, "OOoh Merida I LOVE THAT STYLE OF COLORING!" Goes to comment... See's Spider-Man in the description... has a fan attack because I love that movie and I'm watching it RIGHT NOW! 0.0 No joke... Creepy coincidence.

Anyway, I LOVE THE COLORING! Such a beautiful style!! I love the eyes as well you have a beautiful art style! :)

I don't understand this new Directors controversey. Pulling her from a website claiming the problem is partly that these characters are designed in Hollywood, where real women are altering their appearance so regularly that animators, and certainly studio execs, think it’s normal. She's a princess, shouldn't she look elaborate.
