|OK I get a lot of repeat questions so I'll try and answer some of the more common ones here!|
What programs/materials do you use?
A variety, but mainly normal HB/2B pencils, Photoshop CS3 and Paint Tool SAI. I always write what I've used for a particular drawing at the bottom of the artists' comments, so check there!
Have you ever taken art classes/are you planning to go into it as a career?
I've taken the basic art classes in school, through GCSE and now AS but I've dropped it now (too much work lmao). I've taken figure drawing and oil painting lessons outside of school too and they really help - I'd 100% recommend doing them if you get the opportunity! The stuff I learnt in school is pretty much all fine art so it's not much to do with what I post on here, but it's taught me valuable skills I'm very grateful for and am able to apply to what I do for fun.
I've kinda come to the conclusion that if I ever went into the industry it'd be for VisDev or illustration... However most of the art schools around England seem to be much more geared towards fine and studio arts since the particular sub industry I'm interested in is based in America, which is annoying. I'm currently not aiming for art school but it's definitely something I'd like to keep up and maybe go into later, I guess.
Have you got any tips/can you do a tutorial?
I'm nowhere near enough to make a tutorial, but if you visit my Tumblr and go onto my resources tag you may be able to find some useful stuff there. Alternatively, there are really great sources all over dA and the internet, so they're probably your best bet.
Do you take requests?
No, sorry. Please don't ask about these!
Occasionally, but more often than not I don't because I'm awful at drawing under pressure. If I ever do take them it'll usually be with artists who I mutually follow, or I will open a journal asking for them.
Do you do commissions?
Yup! Check my journal.
Can you join my contest/club?
The answer will most likely be no, sorry, since I haven't got much time for contests but there's no harm asking!
That's pretty much all for now, but thank you for reading!
